Description
Waterville School District, with an approximate enrollment of 279 students TK-12, is seeking a dynamic leader to carry on the quality work already in progress developing the school culture and instructional programs to support student learning and staff professional growth. Waterville School District has a long tradition of excellence in academics and activities with an emphasis on teaching leadership. Requirements
A commitment to work collaboratively with staff, students, alumni, and the community toward continuous improvement of educational programming for all students
Effectively monitors, supervises, evaluates and improves the instructional system through partnerships built with professional educators to embrace change
Collaboratively implement a shared vision and mission
Ability to honor and maintain past traditions while promoting and fostering a “growth mindset” for continuous improvement
Active participation in school and community events
Ability to facilitate an equitable, caring, productive, respectful and safe school environment for all students and staff
Knowledge of Special Education, 504 plan implementation, early learning, and alternative education opportunities
Possesses knowledge and understanding of instructional standards, best practices in instruction tied to instructional frameworks, and the state evaluation system
Knowledge of all federal programs and will monitor and input all data.
Ability to successfully implement a focused, job-embedded staff development program, based upon best practices and systems accountability
Ability to use data and data management systems to inform instruction and guide a continuous school improvement model
Knowledgeable in the use of technology to support learning throughout the school
Ability to provide clear and effective leadership in managing student behavior throughout the school
Willingness to participate in a K-12 system as a building principal and a district-wide administrator
Develop partnerships and resources within and outside of the school that support the school and the district’s mission and vision
Foster school spirit, traditions, and culture of an exceptional school
Effectively supervise events, activities, and arts performances
Maintain a sense of humor; be approachable
7 Habits Leadership Training required and provided prior to start of school year.
