SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
Under the supervision of the executive director of marketing and community relations, this position is responsible for managing the district’s internal and external digital and print communications, including the district website and social media platforms; maintaining a continuous flow of information to the community and news media; providing answers to public inquiries and participating in community activities. This position supervises the communications coordinator in implementing communications related to the district’s strategic plan and promotion of positive school and community relations. This position includes some general office management and special event planning.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in English, journalism, communications or related field, and
Three (3) to five (5) years of public relations or marketing experience, including writing for publication.
